Description of accommodation
The 23/25 gîte is a charming old house located in the historic district of the Tour Philippe le Bel in Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, with its warm, authentic materials.
This small, detached house opens onto the garden of the larger house and the village. It comprises a fully-equipped kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms with sloping ceilings and a bathroom.
An integral part of the former palace of Cardinal Orsini (a 14th-century palace), the house bears history at the heart of its architecture: the stone arch visible from the street rising from the tower is the former entrance to the palace, facing the entrance to the outbuildings on the other side.
Opening onto the garden and the street, on the ground floor you'll find a large, fully-equipped kitchen with large cupboards and its old Provençal kitchen garden, an essential feature of the kitchens of yesteryear.
The living room has a peaceful, cosy atmosphere, with magnificent terracotta tiles.
Upstairs, the two attic bedrooms share a bathroom overlooking the garden. The bedrooms have double beds.
It can accommodate 2 to 5 people, on a weekly or overnight basis.
